Peel Jam – Alive and Evenly Flowing

In a peaceful afternoon full of music, art and sweet marmalade, the annual Peel Jam and Art Exhibition event brought a favourable crowd out to the beautiful surrounds of Peel for a fun-filled helping of entertainment.

In what was the biggest turnout for the event yet, the festival featured a grand line-up of musicians including Smith & Jones, Gabbi Bolt, The Perthvillians, Brendon McLeod, and local band ensembles Chill Factor and the Carillon Show Band.

The festival also featured an art exhibition displaying works from some of the finest artists in the region, with a people’s choice award for the best artwork being up for grabs, along with the famed marmalade stall, a sausage sizzle and various craft displays.

Funds raised on the day went towards the Peel Native Flora and Fauna Reserve Trust, who do a wonderful job preserving a section of remnant native woodland near the village of Peel.

It was an outstanding day of festivities that featured fine examples of Bathurst’s burgeoning creative scene.
