Rahamim Ecology Centre is running another gardening workshop on Saturday morning, focusing on how to effectively use a range of materials commonly found around the home to grow your own vegetable garden.

Run every season, the gardening workshops invite members of the community with a keen interest in gardening to learn some unique techniques to implement in maintaining and beautifying their gardens.

The previous workshop saw a fantastic turnout of people, all of whom were actively engaged in a rather unique method of implementing compost in a garden, which used a layering technique with different materials, comparable to making lasagne.

The class was tailored for the region’s climate and was proudly supported by Rahamim’s affluent Community Garden.

It is taking place on Saturday morning between 10am and 12.30pm. Cost is $50 or just $10 for concession card holders and the price includes a seasonal growing manual and take-home seedlings.
